This site has no contact form, and nobody here can look up a Louisiana claim, release a payment, or say why a determination came out the way it did. Every route below goes to Louisiana Works, which holds the answers.

Getting help with a claim

1-866-783-5567 is the line for the claim itself: opening one, requesting a week's payment, asking for another copy of your Form 1099-G, or arranging to pay back an overpayment.

It is not the only number the agency publishes. Offices and phone numbers carries the rest, including the Commission's general contact number, the TDD line, the debit card issuer, and every American Job Center you can walk into.

Asking online instead

Your HiRE account carries a message to the agency without a phone call, and the same login uploads documents, shows the status of the claim, changes the address and bank details it pays into, and reopens a claim that has gone inactive. How to file sets out what one login covers.

Appeals take a different route

An appeal is not made on the claims line. It goes in writing to the Appeals Tribunal, and it has a short deadline counted from the date the determination was mailed. Denials, appeals, and overpayments has each way to send one, the way the days are counted, and the number to call when no acknowledgement arrives.
